-The Old Stone Church was organized and formed in 1837. Original Members include Reverend William Adams and William Talcott, along with 13 others. Early meetings of the church were held in homes of members. The foundation for the church building was laid in 1848, and in July 1850, the first communion service was held.
-Other historic events include the bell, which still hangs in our belfry, was given to the church in 1954.
-The church has had more than 30 ministers serve since its creation in 1837.
-The Old Stone Church became part of the United Church of Christ in January 1964, and we remain a part of the UCC today.
